Buffalo Bills End Minicamp – Training Camp Next Up on July 31st

Today closed out minicamp for the Buffalo Bills and I know you’ll be shocked but the focus was on quarterback performance. According to various reporters at camp, all four quarterbacks took reps today. It was noted that these reps were against the second team defensive line so take that for what it’s worth.
Matt Simms:
Matt Simms took reps but appeared by all accounts to be less than stellar. He threw at least one interception. It was also mentioned he has odd throwing style.
Tyrod Taylor:
Not his best day apparently. He also threw an interception which happened to be Mario Butler’s second pick in two days
Matt Cassel:
Officially he was 3 for 4 and got sacked during the 11 on 11 drills. Cassel appeared to have a rough minicamp overall despite early reports he was impressive. If you want to know how he really did, just ask Joe Buscaglia from WKBW.
Ej Manuel:
Several reporters noted that EJ was the best man out there, again. His day included an impressive pass to Marcus Easley during a 65-yard drive. He made some big long throws and short ones and by all accounts seemed sharper and more confident than the EJ of old.
Other Notes:
The Pegulas were in attendance for the last day of minicamp.
Rex Ryan expects to sign former Jets OL Wayne Hunger before training camp
OL Cyrus Kouandjio appeasr to be ahead of Seantrel Henderson because of his off season work but Rex acknowledged it was too early to tell anything.
Marquise Goodwin was shaken up on a pass play – there’s no information as to what his injury may have been or how serious it is
Now begins the hiatus until training camp at St. John Fisher on July 31st. Even though there are weeks until the start of training camp Rex left a little morsel, a .1% morsel to be exact when he said he is 99.9% sure the starting quarterback for the Colts season opener is on the roster right now. Well played Rex, well played.
