Buffalo Bills Minicamp Day 2 - Not a Great Day

The good news from day 2 of Buffalo Bills minicamp appears to be the quarterbacks aren't holding onto the ball. The bad news, it doesn't appear many of their passes were on target. From all accounts the top three quarterbacks, Manuel, Cassel and Taylor were a bit off the mark. None of the three completed a pass at the beginning of the 11-on-11 drills. Some of the quarterbacks were also sacked, overthrew or passes were dropped. All the blame can't be placed solely on the quarterbacks. It was also reported some of the reason was bad protection from the offensive line and because the defenders were holding the wide receivers.
The news wasn't all bad on the quarterback front either. The quarterbacks as a whole were doing better on 7-on-7 drills. Granted there was no pass rush but at least that is a positive. Another positive, Sal Capaccio from WGR550 said EJ had a tremendous pass which he said EJ probably wouldn't have made his first two years. That shows improvement. That shows promise. That shows a desire to be better. EJ Manuel has said that many times and he just wants a chance to prove himself. to the Buffalo Bills coaches and fans. Baby steps. Let's just hope they become giant steps by August.
One thing that Buffalo Bills fans, especially myself, have to keep in mind is that this is just minicamp. This is a far cry from training camp and miles away from the start of the season. This isn't all out. This is middle of the road. When the competition gets more intense the true talent will come out, I hope. This year is the year we have all been waiting for. It is like the last three months of a pregnancy -- it is only three months in reality but it feels like three years. Trust me, I know.
