Throwback Thursday: Remember the Buffalo Bills Boogie?

The hype surrounding the Buffalo Bills now reminds me of the hype from the early 1990s. In the early 90s Buffalo seemed to just be bursting with Bills "fandemonium" (thank you Van Miller). My favorite thing about that era of unique fanfare by far was the Buffalo Bills Boogie.

Besides the long running Shout song heard at Bills home games, a Buffalo radio station Oldies 104 came up with the ingenious idea of The Buffalo Bills Boogie. The cassette tape (for those of who do not know what a cassette tape is because you are too young find it here ), featured hit "oldies" parodies tailored to the particular opponent from that week. It was creativity and catchy and now I will share it with you. Below is a list of those songs from 1991 and 1992. I'm just waiting to get the call to resurrect this idea and come up with songs for this season, just don't ask me to sing.

1991:

Eagles (Won - 17-13): Buffalo is Going to London Town

Dolphins (Won - 35-31): Go Bills

Steelers (Won - 52-34): Please Mr. Bubby

Jets (Won - 23-20): We’re Gonna Beat the Jets

Tampa Bay (Won - 17-10): Return to Tampa

Chicago (Won - 35-20): Beatin’ the Bears

Chiefs (Lost - 33-6): Kansas City Here We Come

Colts (Won - 42-6): The Bills Went On a Tear

Bengals (Won 35-16): Blowin’ Away Cincinnati

Patriots (Won 22-17): Rock New England

Packers (Won 34-24): We’ll Beat You
