Remember my post about the draft? It seems as though this girl knows a thing or two about players just my pick for the Buffalo Bills went much higher than 50.

So now that round one is over, what does that mean for the Bills?

For one there is plenty of talent left out there. NFL.com has the Bills picking A.J. Cann, offensive guard out of South Carolina. This pick makes sense and the offensive line historically has been a problem for the Bills. There are a lot of offensive linemen left on the board including Cann so it predicted by many that is way the Bills would go. Then again that is assuming of course that the Bills stay at pick 50. Doug Whaley did say would like to trade down so the players that were there then at 50 might not be there later but after the draft he seemed surprised that there was so much talent left. He also didn’t discount La’el Collins who is off many boards due to possible criminal charges.

If they stay at 50, there are a lot of prospects to help protect the quarter whomever that quarterback may be. Speaking of quarterback, my fellow blogger Brett Triplett is still advocating loudly for Bryce Petty, quarterback out of Baylor (I know he is not the only one). Petty is still on the board and could possibly be there if at 50 but it remains to be seen if that is the route the Bills will take.

Regardless of what happens in Round two or after, Doug Whaley has proven he isn’t afraid to take risks. He has also proven that he does like the element of surprise so it will be interesting for sure to see how this all plays out.
